At Rainbow Dental Centre we use digital dental x-ray equipment, digital intra oral scanning and can now design and fabricate nightguards and bite splints with our 3D printing and design software.
Digital Dental X-rays
Our digital dental x-rays are not only more comfortable than previously used film-type x-rays, but they also provide a sharper image and also use less radiation. Digital dental x-rays save time as there is no longer a need for processing the images – they can be seen by your dentist on the computer screen immediately after the image is exposed.
Digital Intraoral Scanning
Long gone are the days when we would take impressions using trays and goopy impression material when a patient was in need of a nightguard, crown or whitening trays. At Rainbow Dental Centre, we use the Trios scanner to take digital impressions when needed. These digital images are not only more accurate, but they are also much more comfortable for the patient.
3D Printed Nightguards/Bite Splints
This latest technology has improved the way we make custom nightguards and bite splints! Using a digital scan of your teeth and bite allows our dentists to design a custom nightguard or bitesplint that we are then able to print on our 3D printer for a perfect fit!
